Your Thoughts: Green Space in Silver Spring

Montgomery County planners want to hear from you as they work on the Green Space Guidelines for the Silver Spring Central Business District. Please join them at a community meeting on Wednesday, January 27 to have a voice in a new, "green" Silver Spring.

The Green Space Guidelines will provide recommendations to add more green space and public gathering places to downtown Silver Spring. The plan will identify potential sites that could provide large green public spaces and specify design guidelines for how to develop them. Through it, planners will recommend ways to achieve significant green spaces in Silver Spring that vary in size, character, and use to help fulfill the Sector Plan’s vision for a green downtown.
