Snow : Keeping Sidewalks Clear

SS snow

A friendly reminder from Montgomery County about our the snow removal responsibilities for our buildings:

COMMUNITY BROADCAST ANNOUNCMENT

As snowfall is predicted for the upcoming weekend, businesses and homeowners are being asked to make every effort to keep walkways and business entrances clear of snow throughout the snow event. Montgomery County Law requires businesses and homeowners to shovel public sidewalks and curb ramps in front of their properties within 24 hours of a snowfall but a little extra effort during the snowfall makes it possible for everyone to use the public sidewalk and curb ramps, especially during this holiday season.

Remember that sidewalks and curb ramps require a 36” width path, to allow people who use walkers, wheelchairs, baby strollers, rolling suit cases or briefcases etc. to travel safely,
particularly when walkways are slippery or wet.
